Memories of Baffins (including Tangier Road)

A look at Baffins area using 1960 Kelly's Directory as a Guide. First published 2023

Most of the area  before the expansion of the town in the 1900s was farmland with a few lanes for access.  Much of the area was infilled tidal creeks which still cause problems with flooding. On the east of the Copnor and Milton lanes were Tangier/ Highgrove Farm and Baffins Farm and to the west of St Mary's Farm.
